That article makes me sick to my stomach.
I can definitely understand the anxiety that must have gone through Jennifer's mind--having a baby at the age of 19 WHILE in a dorm away from her family. But there were SO many options for her other than asphyxiating an innocent baby. And there is NO way she didn't know she was pregnant until she gave birth. Complete bull. But honestly, I can't imagine being in her situation. Shame on her.

OK, not to shoehorn myself into every single conversation here, but: I was with Paolo when he shot that video.

It was interesting -- he'd been blogging for a few months at that point, and I was maybe 1.5 years into my career as a "professional" journalist. We had just started to explore ways to collaborate, and I think we ended up learning a lot from each other. This video, in particular, really showed me how this type of simple, no-frills journalism can tell a very powerful story. You don't need a lot of fancy editing; you just need a compelling subject and good questions.
